Xbox 360 Home Repair
If you are thinking about doing your own Xbox elite repair at home, without having to send your Xbox Elite back to the manufacturer, the answer is absolutely yes. Of course, I bought one of the great looking black xbox consoles just as you did and it broke on me just like a piece of junk.
There are several different things that can go wrong with any Xbox console. We paid too much for these things just to let them sit there and collect dust.
Here are some easy tips to help you get your Xbox back going.
1. Maybe the lens on the CD drive is a little dirty. Put one of those CD cleaners in and play it. Remember the old style CD cleaners with the little brush on the bottom of the disk. While the disk cleaner is spinning it will clean off the dirty lens. Won't hurt to try it.
2. There may be some dust particles in there that the CD cleaner can't remove. Use a compressed can of air and blow it into the drive bay. I know that there are lots of gurus out there that say not to do this because it will just evenly distribute the dust. The fact is, I have done it, and have had instant results.
3. If you are getting the 3 red light error or if you are getting any system error that prevents your console form operating properly, just simply turn your unit off, let it sit for a few minutes and turn it back on. Yep, this will work in many different situations, even the 2 flashing red light error.
If turning your xbox off and back on doesn't work for you, try it again. Turn your console off again, but on this go around, unplug it. Pull loose all of the wires and cable connections from your console. Leave it in this condition for about 25-30 minutes. Hook everything back up and you could see results. Again, sometimes your box may just need to be restarted to clear the errors.
Fixing your xbox at home is possible, but getting a few pointers to get you going may just be what you need. I wish you success in fixing your xbox.
